When to Choose a Mobile App or Responsive Website – DigiTourShow Daily #132
Quite often I get asked if a business should develop an app to sell its products or go down the responsive website route.
When it comes to people buying your tours and activities or hotel products then I would always advise a responsive site is the way to go. By making someone find your app and then downloading it, you are putting up a barrier within their buying process.
Apps are great when they are used to enhance a user experience like a virtual tour guide when on a bus tour or a way to order room service or book a table at your hotel’s restaurant.
Each medium has its place in tourism so just make sure you are using them correctly.
